Past Judge Joseph V. Sweeney, Jr.
Judge Joseph V. Sweeney, Jr. was appointed by Governor Tom Ridge in August 1996, as one of the two non-lawyers to the Pennsylvania Court of Judicial Discipline. Joseph Sweeney is President of Public Affairs Consultants and Chairman of StaffMasters USA, LLC. He has served on the Campaign Finance Staff of Governor Robert P. Casey. In addition he has served as Press Secretary/Special Assistant to the Honorable Stephen R. Reed, Mayor of Harrisburg; Director of Carnegie Foundation Project; National Student Education Fund; and Administrative Assistant in the House of Representatives of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Judge Sweeney's community activities include serving as a Gold Award Member of the Tri-County United Way; Vice Chair of the Lancaster City Authority; Member of Governor's IMPAACT Commission; and Member of the Lancaster Campaign - Economic Development Task Force.
