. . Past Judge Robert A. Messa ---
Judge Robert A. Messa was appointed by the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania in August 1995, as one of two non-lawyers, to the Pennsylvania Court of Judicial Discipline. The Court of Judicial Discipline is a constitutional court that reviews and hears all charges filed by the Judicial Conduct Board against any judicial officer. Judge Messa was sworn into office by Justice Frank J. Montemuro, Jr. on September 11, 1995.

Judge Messa retired as Executive Vice President of First Federal Savings of Bucks County in Bristol, Pennsylvania. Judge Messa currently serves as an independent contractor doing construction business development for Abington Bank, Jenkintown, Pennsylvania. He has served in the mortgage banking and banking industry since 1958. In addition, he also taught real estate principles and law courses at the Montgomery County Community College and the Financial Institution for Education.

Judge Messa was educated in the Philadelphia Parochial school system and after graduating high school, served four years in the United States Air Force, Strategic Air Command. He was separated from the Air Force as a non-commissioned officer with the rank of Staff Sergeant. He attended Temple University Business School majoring in Finance and Real Estate Law. Judge Messa attended the graduate school of business at Indiana University and completed courses in mortgage banking at the University of Notre Dame.

Judge Messa's community activities include serving as National President of the Order Sons of Italy in America (2001-2003); National President Sons of Italy Foundation (2005-2009); State President Grand Lodge of Pennsylvania, OSIA (1993-1997); a 4th Degree Knights of Columbus; Treasurer, Children's Aid Society of Delaware Valley; Director Lower Bucks County Chamber of Commerce; member Pennsylvania Community Bankers; Manor College Development Committee; Justinian Society and Secretary, Bristol Borough Economics Development Corporation.
