. . Judge Joseph A. Halesey ---
Judge Halesey was elected as Magisterial District Judge of Hanover Township, Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania in 1992. On September 18, 2002, he was appointed to the Court of Judicial Discipline by the Supreme Court.

Prior to his election as Magisterial District Judge, he was a Loss Prevention Supervisor for Peoples Drug Stores, Inc. In addition, he was employed as a law enforcement officer with the Hanover Township Police Department and the Amtrak Police Department.

Presently, he serves as a member of the Legislative Committee and Ethics and Professionalism Committee of the Special Court Judges' Association. In addition he is an associate member of the Fraternal Order of Police, and a member of the Executive Board of the Luzerne County District Justice Association. He also served his community as Past President of the Goodwill Hose Company #1, Chairman of the Community Ambulance Association and a member of the Board of Directors of the Hanover Area Ambulance Association.

Judge Halesey graduated from Mansfield State College in 1980 and completed his Minor Judiciary Course in 1988. He and his wife, Barbara, have three children.
