. . Judge Robert E.J. Curran ---
Robert E. J. Curran is a Media, Delaware County lawyer, having been born and raised in Delaware County, Pennsylvania. He received a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Washington & Lee University in 1957 and a Juris Doctor from Temple University School of Law in 1960.

Mr. Curran was elected as a delegate to the 1967-68 Pennsylvania Constitutional Convention and served on the Judiciary Committee as Co-Chairman of the Sub-Committee, Removal, Suspension and Discipline of Judges.

Mr. Curran practiced law in Delaware County until 1972 when he was appointed by President Richard M. Nixon as United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. While serving in that capacity, he was appointed by the Attorney General to the Attorney General’s United States Attorney’s Advisory Committee. Since 1976 he has continued to practice law in Delaware County.

In March of 1996 he was appointed to the Judicial Conduct Board by Governor Ridge where he served as Chairman.

In 2002 he was appointed to the Disciplinary Board of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania.
